Mission of the Role
The Pre-K Teacher supports young learners by introducing them to a structured learning environment through play-based learning, guided exploration, and discovery. This role focuses on fostering English language acquisition through a communicative and CLIL-based approach aligned with SEP guidelines and the school’s academic model.
The teacher promotes the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of learners, creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that builds confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Deliver English lessons aligned with SEP and school guidelines
• Apply play-based and CLIL strategies to integrate language and content
• Foster early English skills: listening, speaking, vocabulary, and pre-literacy
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Monitor student progress through observation and assessment tools
• Identify developmental needs and provide appropriate support
• Collaborate with homeroom teachers and school staff
• Maintain communication with parents and provide progress updates
• Support students in routines such as hygiene and self-care when needed
• Supervise assistants and maintain an organized classroom
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and school activities
• Ensure compliance with school policies and safeguarding standards
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Preschool Education (required)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood education
• English proficiency B2–C1 (CEFR) with valid certification (Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent)
• Knowledge of early childhood development and play-based methodologies
• Experience with lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment
• Ability to support diverse learning needs and promote positive behavior
• Basic digital skills (Google Classroom, Office)
